Cellar Hand works directly with our Cellar Master to execute the day to day movements of wine throughout the winery.
This position requires high attention to detail and entails the handling of wine and operation of equipment.
This role is collaborative in nature but requires the ability to multitask and work independently at times.
The full-time position with benefits including Vacation Time, Medical & Dental Insurance, and 401(k).
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Experience is not required but a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures is critical.
Premium Wine Group is a Custom Crush & Co-Packing facility designed to afford producers an economical way to make and package wine without a heavy investment in their own winery.
While winemaking decisions and stylistic preferences are driven by our clients, PWG supports client goals with state of the art equipment, a group of experienced production professionals and the highest standards of winemaking, sanitization and packing.
Founded in 2000, PWG has grown from processing 545 tons annually to over 1,900 tons in 2020 with an ultimate capacity of 2,500 tons.
PWG's mission is to continually upgrade our plant, equipment and services to offer clients the highest quality winemaking and co-packing environment.
Currently 16 clients produce over 100 individual wines each vintage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Learn to use and maintain winery equipment pumps, tanks, filters etc.
Work collaboratively with Cellar Master and Winemakers as tasks may change throughout the day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand and walk for 8
hours at a time.
Must be able to lift up to 50
pounds.
