7 Quick Apply Full-time 3 days ago Full Job Description $1,000 sign on bonus! The Residential Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the residence and for the well being and safety of the consumers.

Responsibilities:
E- Connotes Essential Functions E-1 Creates a positive image of the programs and acts on behalf of the consumers before schools or school boards, health clinics, local businesses, employers, transportation providers, social groups, etc.

E-2 Provides and fulfills 24 hour on-call emergency coverage.
E-3 Develops all house policies and procedures and works closely with Assistant Residential Director.
E-4 Coordinates the transportation of consumers to and from recreational or social programs, work, school, etc.
E-5 Works with appropriate clinical or program staff and community agency staff to identify and maintain placement in day programs.
E-6 Interviews, hires, trains, in-services and evaluates all staff.
Recommends terminations with the Assistant Residential Director.
E-7 Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the residence and periodically meets with and counsels staff relating to program, personnel or training needs; completes performance appraisals of staff on an annual basis and develops yearly objectives.
E-8 Maintains appropriate documentation of staff related issues and personnel records according to IGHL policy.
E-9 Ensures that staff remain in compliance with state regulations and monitors quality of food preparation and sanitary conditions of kitchen to ensure a safe, clean environment.
Monitor weekly food purchases.
Coordinates the preparation and modification of consumer's specific diets.
E-10 Assists and supervises maintenance and/or housekeeping staff to ensure that all IGHL policies and regulations regarding environmental standards are maintained.
E-11 Functions as the team leader and, if qualified, QMRP for all consumers residing at their facility and leads all interdisciplinary team meetings E-12 Completes and reviews as appropriate all required paperwork specific to the goal planning process to ensure that all consumer's needs are being met, as appropriate.
AMRP reviews and signs all paperwork and attends annual recertification.
E-13 Oversees consumer developmental plans by effectively deploying staff, scheduling and integrating resident activities, day programs, work or play times and observing reactions to such activities and integrating new activities as needed.
E-14 Develops a positive relationship with consumers and their families and makes themselves available to address any concerns.
E-15 Notifies Assistant Residential Director of any employee changes so that proper paperwork can be completed and ensures that all IGHL business forms are maintained.
E-16 Responsible and accountable for maintaining the approved annual residence budget and makes recommendations for change where appropriate.
Responsible and accountable for accurate and up-to-date consumer accounts.
E-17 Ensures billing documents are complete and accurate.
18- Acts in a direct care capacity when needed.
19- Enforces and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
20- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
A.
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred B.
Three years experience with the Developmentally Disabled population C.
One year supervisory experience D.
Valid NYS driver's license E.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
